It was at an encounter camp in The U.K. where I experienced God in such a way that it changed the way I understood my faith. It was there that I detoxed from the noise of the world and gave God a chance so I could spend time with him and with others wanting the same. I wasn't expecting anything to happen. It had been such a long time since I felt peace, silence and time to self-reflect. I had not realised I had been carrying some trauma from the past or perhaps I had forgotten.

I learned that having a real relationship with Christ was not supposed to be just once a week at Church. It was supposed to be daily, not necessarily for hours or the entire day but to be consistent.

Our founders believed that every child deserves a safe, loving, faith-centered environment – a place where singing around the fire, exploring nature, and reading Scripture can create memories that last a lifetime.

Today, Camp Lightway continues that mission with dedicated staff, meaningful programs, and a deep commitment to serving families with care and integrity.
